It's easy enough to overlook considerations for a house coffee. After all, the brewing process is simpler than espresso, and consistency is far above what espresso provides. House coffee often becomes an excuse for rotating through varietals, or worse, house coffee becomes the use for ugly leftovers about to go stale.
